So this post should probably be called "Monday Makeover" instead of "Monday Made It." But just go with me...
A few years ago, my sister gave me her old pink desk chair that she didn't need anymore. It sat in my house for a while, and then I decided to take it to school and use it there.
My classroom colors are purple, blue and green...and a pink chair just doesn't work!!
I used it at my computer, and since I only had one computer in the room, the chair was used by both my students and me! It was well used...and definitely looked that way before I gave it a makeover! I already had the fabric at home, so it was essentially a free project to complete!
All I needed was the following:
- chair
- fabric
- allen wrench (to take the chair apart)
- staple gun
It's a pretty simple, straight forward and easy project to complete!
**I totally meant to take a picture of the chair before I took it apart, but here's a picture of the seat cushion. You get the idea!**
I did get help from a friend, as I'd never done this before...but the project was very easy! And after seeing the "After" photo, I feel like I need another chair to makeover!!

Wow your after picture looks great! I love the fabric you chose :) I have a chair that I've been meaning to recover for a while now. You've inspired me!!

OMG I love your chair. I am planning on doing this to mine but am unsure of how to do it. You make it seem so easy! My chair is currently black but I am not sure if I want to get black chevron to go with my theme.

I need that chair in my life. Too cute.
ReplyDeleteThe fabric choice is amazing! Now I want a chair like yours! Miss Nelson is right that commented above...she DOES need that chair in her life. It would match her classroom...PERFECTLY!
