February Currently

In the past, my teacher related posts could all be found on my teacher blog.  However, two blogs was stressful and confusing at times.  So, I'm going to ease the frustration and move it all to this one blog.  I'll have a healthy mix of teacher and personal related posts here on Beyond the Gradebook.  While these Currently posts aren't necessarily teacher related, they are hosted by Farley at Oh Boy Fourth Grade.  These are so fun to post and read...so head on over to link up with her!

Listening: I love Gossip Girl.  I have every season on DVD and they never get old.  I'm started watching them again and am now halfway through season 1.  Have you seen Gossip Girl?

Loving: If you read my post yesterday, you will have read about all the time off that we've had due to snow!  It's been so nice to hang out on the couch all this time and read, watch movies, work on my blog, and waste time!  It was definitely welcomed!

Thinking: To add to the time off of school due to snow, it's not always fun and games though.  It's the end of the nine weeks and we are in the middle of benchmark testing, so all of that has been postponed.  When we return, we'll pick it up and get it done.  But it's going to make for a crazy few days, at least!  And I hope this time off doesn't mean a change in the school calendar!

Wanting: I've been addicted to Pinterest, even more so lately than normal, and have found some of the cutest clothes.  The problem is that you need money to buy clothes.  And that always seems hard to come by!!  I've just signed up for my first StitchFix, so I'm really excited about that!  I'm hoping to get some cute clothes in my shipment!  Not sure what StitchFix is, click here to find out more information!  And I'll be sure to post about it once I receive my shipment!

Needing: Grades, report card comments...enough said.  It's no fun, but it must be done!

2 Truths and 1 Fib: Which of these three do you think is my fib?

1 - TRUTH - I studied abroad in Greece while I was in college.  In fact, I completed my second       practicum while there, so I was able to work with kids all over Greece!  It was an amazing opportunity.

2 - FIB - I wish I was going to the gym 4x a week.  Going to the gym that much requires energy and gas money.  Of which I usually have neither at the end of a long day of school.  I used to make it 4x a week, so I'm hoping to get back to that schedule soon.  But for now, it's a definite fib!

3 - TRUTH - I have one word for hot dogs and popcorn.  GROSS.  I can't even stand the smell of popcorn.

  2. Do you have to make up all the snow days? It was 81 degrees where I live yesterday so I can't even imagine what all that cold air is like!

    1. Hopefully we won't have to make time up. But we haven't heard for sure. We do have time built in, but no one knows exactly how much. AND there's a possibility of snow next week also. We might be going to school until August. UMMM...hopefully not! And I'm totally jealous of your 81 degree weather!! Thanks for stopping by!

  4. I student taught abroad as well! It was the best experience ever. We had two ice days in the past week and it is definitely hard to get back into the routine!

  5. I've never had time of school because of snow! We go back to work this week here in NZ. The holidays even though they have been 6 weeks have felt short!
Hmm, I am going to find exercising much harder now after a day in school. I can identify with tired at the end of a long day.

  6. Argh, snow! We've had snow days down here in SC this week too and I remain conflicted. The time off is great but it is stressful knowing how much still needs to get done! Enjoyed your currently and look forward to reading more of your now one blog! :)

  7. We're making up snow days already because our school chose to not add any into our calendar this year. It's been a pain getting back into the routine today, especially since our laptops also decided to take a break and not work for benchmarks today. Grr....
I guessed your fib! It's mine, too. I was trying to do 3x a week, but I've been off schedule even before Christmas. Good luck getting back into routine!
