14 in '14

I absolutely love the end of the year.  I love to look back on what a fabulous year it has been and look forward to a new year with a fresh start and a new outlook on life.

I know everyone says that 'this year was the best year ever!'  But it always seems so true!  Every year just gets better and better!

These are in no particular order whatsoever.  It was so hard to rank them that I've just put them in order that they happened!

I'm linking up with Miss Kindergarten for her Fourteen in '14 link-up!

#1
I began grad school!  I'm working on my Masters in Instructional Technology through Virginia Tech!

#2
I turned 25.  And got these crazy cards from my Dad.

#3
Spent lots of time and money fixing up the house!  Even though I bought my house toward the end of 2013, this was my first full year in my own house!!

#4
Took a road trip to Virginia Tech to watch the Spring Football Game!  Go Hokies!

#5
Ran in my third 5K - the Color Vibe Richmond!

#6
Vacationed for a week at the Outer Banks!

#7
I waved to the Queen while in London!

#8
Spent a day with Mickey while in Paris!

#9
Rode the canal boats in Amsterdam!

#10
Spent a week at Myrtle Beach!

#11
Visited Christmas Town at Busch Gardens.

#12
Spent Thanksgiving weekend at the Outer Banks!

#13
These cars (and some more you can't see) all came to visit me and have lunch!  I hosted our family's Christmas lunch this year!!

#14
And (even though it hasn't happened yet...), I'll be celebrating New Years Eve and ringing in the new year..on a boat..in the middle of the ocean!  Hello Bahamas!

It's been an incredible year!  Definitely the year of travel!  There were so many more wonderful and amazing things that happened this year - but these are fourteen of the highlights from the year.

Dear 2015 - I challenge you to beat 2014!

  2. Sarah, what a wonderful year you've had! I still have to get to Christmas Town in the next few days. The Outer Banks is on my 2015 list, as we've been here almost 5 years and still haven't made it there! I ran in the Color Me Rad in Newport News. Maybe we could run together one of these days! Let's hope 2015 is even better than 2014 and that we can slide a couple of blogger meet ups in there too!
