American Idol, America's Got Talent, The Voice....TV is pretty much overrun with singing competitions. The last thing we need is another "new" competition for singers, right?! Wrong!
Rising Star is television's newest singing competition....and it's AMAZING! I love the concept of this show more than any of the previously mentioned shows. The singers sing while standing behind a huge electronic wall. They cannot see the audience at this point. Once they start singing, they have until the end of that song to win America over. You, at home, play a crucial role in this show. You download the app for the show and vote for your favorite singers, as they are singing. You vote thumbs up or thumbs down for each singer. If 70% of people who have 'checked in' vote yes for a particular singer, the wall will rise and they will move to the next round. It's pretty cool! I love that we don't have to wait until next week for the results shows...we find out instantly how the singers do!

When you log in while the show is airing, the 'register here' button turns into a 'check in' button. If you don't check in before the song starts, you can no longer check in to vote!
When the next singer comes up, just check in to vote.
Did you like this singer? If so, slide the blue arrow. If not, slide the red arrow.
As the singer is singing, there is a bar on the tv screen that shows their percentage and it rises as more people vote with a yes. At the end of the song, the app shows the total percentage that each individual received. Remember, if they got at least a 70 percent, they will move onto the next round.
