Monday Made It

I *think* this is my first time linking up with Tara's Monday Made It linky party!  This is one of the link ups that I enjoy the most - however, I never seem to participate in this one.  I had planned to have some things ready for today, but didn't get around to getting those things completed.  I'm here with three Made-Its today (one that is halfway done - and one that is for someone else - and one that is from the kitchen)!

Monday Made It #1

The first Monday Made It is halfway done.  I've made it and sent it to be printed, so I don't have the actually printed copy, but I guess it's as good as done!  I made this super fun banner to hang over my classroom library!  I'm hoping this will be a fun addition that will entice some of my reluctant readers to visit the library more often!

Monday Made It #2

So, last week, I announced and shared my new blog design (designed by me!) with the blog world.  I got so many wonderful compliments on the design!  It felt really good to know your hard work is appreciated!  Blog designing is something that I'm still learning, but have come so far with in the past few weeks!  I really enjoy doing this!  I mentioned that I was loving this new hobby of mine, and someone asked if they could be a guinea pig for me!  I couldn't turn it down!  I mean, that would keep me from tinkering with mine, right!?  I wanted to get started on another blog design right away!  So, in less than two days, I designed and created a brand new blog for Stacy over at Alphabetized and Organized!  She's rebranding and this is a fresh start for her! I love her design so much!  It was a lot of fun to make!

Please make sure to click over here and check out Stacy's new blog!  There's going to be some awesome stuff happening around there soon!!

Monday Made It #3

This Monday Made It is from the kitchen!  I decided to make french toast for breakfast yesterday morning.  I typically put a touch of vanilla in my egg mixture when making french toast.  Yesterday, when I reached for the vanilla extract, I accidentally picked up coconut extract instead.  I figured I'd try it for something different!  Couldn't hurt, right?!  So that's what started my Coconut French Toast recipe!  It's super simple, and I'll share the easy recipe on the blog tomorrow (I think!) so make sure you stick around for that!  It was very good!  And please ignore the insane amounts of syrup on the french toast.  I never said it was healthy! ;)

  2. I love the "readbox"!! I have been haggling with how I can also incorporate that idea into my library this year. I also really like the new blog design. =]
